Finland Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2024

Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
  • Finland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 47,740.49, a 9.52% decline from 2019.
  • Finland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 52,762.97, a 6.12% decline from 2018.
  • Finland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 56,199.93, a 2.1% increase from 2017.
  • Finland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 55,043.07, a 4.94% decline from 2016.
