Iceland Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2024
Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
- Iceland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 2,653.43, a 6.84% decline from 2019.
- Iceland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 2,848.39, a 2.4% decline from 2018.
- Iceland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 2,918.51, a 0.77% increase from 2017.
- Iceland greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 2,896.35, a 1.87% increase from 2016.
