Nigeria Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2024

Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
  • Nigeria greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 322,336.50, a 2.98% decline from 2019.
  • Nigeria greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 332,247.04, a 3.55% increase from 2018.
  • Nigeria greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 320,860.83, a 3.11% increase from 2017.
  • Nigeria greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 311,186.00, a 1.3% increase from 2016.
