North Korea Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions 1990-2024

Total greenhouse gas emissions in kt of CO2 equivalent are composed of CO2 totals excluding short-cycle biomass burning (such as agricultural waste burning and Savannah burning) but including other biomass burning (such as forest fires, post-burn decay, peat fires and decay of drained peatlands), all anthropogenic CH4 sources, N2O sources and F-gases (HFCs, PFCs and SF6).
  • North Korea greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2020 was 76,079.91, a 4.07% decline from 2019.
  • North Korea greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2019 was 79,306.40, a 6.89% increase from 2018.
  • North Korea greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2018 was 74,192.73, a 4.76% decline from 2017.
  • North Korea greenhouse gas (ghg) emissions for 2017 was 77,903.97, a 52.82% increase from 2016.
